2019 Organ Week Concert: Michael Unger, Solo Organ Recital / FREE

The seventh annual Organ Week, a summer organ festival presented by the School of Music, Theatre, and Dance at Colorado State University, takes place June 17—20 with concerts and special events held at the University Center for the Arts, First United Methodist Church, and St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Fort Collins. The 2019 edition features the Canadian Brass and world-renowned organists performing major solo and collaborative works. As an added bonus, a series of free public lectures and masterclasses is also being offered.

Multiple award-winning performer Michael Unger performs Bach-influenced works for organ and harpsichord by Felix Mendelssohn, Robert Schumann, and Carl Phillip Emanuel Bach. Unger is the organ and harpsichord professor at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, organist of Cincinnati’s historic Isaac M. Wise – Plum Street Temple, and often appears worldwide as a soloist and chamber musician. Don’t miss this special opportunity to hear a free concert on CSU’s renowned Casavant organ.
