DESCRIPTION:The CSU Marching Band returns to the 2017 9NEWS Parade of Light
 s\, leading the annual event through the streets of downtown Denver on Fri
 day\, Dec. 1. Support the band during this hometown parade preview on the 
 streets around the University Center for the Arts on Thursday\, Nov. 30.\n
 \nParade watching in Denver\n\nThis year’s Parade of Lights takes place 
 Dec. 1-2. The two-mile parade begins at the Denver Civic Center and\, afte
 r winding through downtown\, concludes at the corner of 14th Street and Gl
 enarm Place. The CSU Marching Band’s only parade appearance is on Friday
 \, Dec. 1\; the parade starts at 8 p.m.\n\nCSU’s 265 musicians\, colorgu
 ard\, and Golden Poms\, joined by CSU Cheer and Cam the Ram\, will lead th
 e numerous floats\, balloons\, and dozens of holiday characters as the onl
 y collegiate marching band in the parade.\n\nThe band will stop in front o
 f the CSU Denver Center\, 475 17th St.\, to perform the fight song for alu
 mni and other Rams fans. Tickets for a reception and bleacher seating at t
 he center are available at alumni.colostate.edu.\n\nHometown Parade Previe
 w and the Holiday Spectacular Concert\n\nJoin the CSU Marching Band in For
 t Collins on Thursday\, Nov. 30 at 6 p.m. as they parade around the Univer
 sity Center for the Arts in preparation for their appearance in Denver.\n\
 nHot drinks will be available from the Human Bean Coffee Truck in front of
  the UCA. CSU Alumni Association Members can get a free drink by showing t
 heir membership card.\n\nAfter the parade\, transition into the Griffin Lo
 bby where you can hear holiday music performed by CSU student instrumental
 ists and stick around for the 2017 Holiday Spectacular Concert\, which beg
 ins at 7 p.m. Tickets for the concert are available at csuartstickets.com.
