Join the Colorado State University Jazz Ensembles on Wednesday, February 26 at 7:30 p.m. for an evening of modern, big band music. The performance will be held in the Griffin Concert Hall at the University Center for the Arts, located at 1400 Remington St.

Under director Peter Sommer, CSU Jazz Ensemble I is joined by international jazz trumpet star Ingrid Jensen for an evening of modern big band music. A major trumpet artist in New York for more than twenty years, Ingrid has recorded six CDs and has been featured prominently on three Grammy award winning discs and numerous Juno award winning albums.

“Ingrid Jensen is at the top of her field, a master of modern jazz trumpet playing and artistry,” said Sommer, Director of Jazz Bands at CSU. “After hearing her as a star soloist in major big bands and her own small groups for many years, I’m really happy to have the opportunity to share her music with the students and CSU and our audience.”
